On Tuesday 8
th
February 2011 Leicester City Council gave presentation on its 2011/12 budget to
the voluntary and community sector.
Members and leaders
of the Leicester Compact Steering Group, the One Leicester Partnership Host
Organisations and the Leicester Infrastructure Organisation supported (VAL) were
invited to attend the briefing that took place at Voluntary Action LeicesterShire. The slides from the
briefing are available below.
The key message the
sector took away was:
- The Council is not
proposing to introduce a 5% reduction to all voluntary sector contracts or
grants
- However, all
voluntary sector contracts & grants not subject to reductions in the budget
or subject to a planned review, such as Adult Social Care, will be subject to a
formal review process to determine if savings can be achieved.
